The important step to fixing your credit score is to check your three reports for errors. It doesn’t happen a lot but the Federal Trade Commission estimates that at least 5% of reports contain an error.
This is one of my favorite steps because it can really boost your bad credit score. The first step is to write a dispute letter to the credit bureau about any errors on the report.
