1. Battleship (2012)
Battleship is a 2012 military science fiction action film starring Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Rihanna, and Liam Neeson.
One person shared, “Total cringe, but there’s a battleship in it.”
A second person replied, “Agreed great mindless entertainment.”
A third commenter added, “As [cringey] as it was I actually got a kick out of it. It's just a bunch of nonsense, but if you can get over that it's pretty fun.”
2. Mortal Kombat (1995)
“A cheesy movie with bad effects, one liners, mindless action and one scene in particular with…INCOMPREHENSIBLE editing,” one person stated. Sounds like a movie you'd almost have to see yourself to believe how bad it is!
3. Troll 2 (1990)
Troll 2 is a 1990 dark fantasy horror film that might be a big fiasco that makes people cringe.
“The competition isn't even close. It is a masterpiece of awful cinema. Every single aspect of the film: every scene, every line, every character and actor, every artistic choice perfectly stands out as terrible. It manages to avoid the single cardinal sin of bad movies, being boring, by continually ramping up the terrible at every opportunity. And unlike Sharknado or Birdemic or the myriad modern ‘bad' films, there was no intention for it to be a bad movie. It genuinely tried and failed on every level, but in that failure it found a kind of success,” one person shared.
4. Your Highness (2011)
The film, which stars great actors such as James Franco, Natalie Portman, and Danny McBride, already sounds like it will be a big hit. However, it’s quite surprising that people find it cringe or even worst.
One person said, “OMG dude! I went and saw this movie in theaters with my dad cause the trailers for it looked funny. But they didn't indicate there'd be any… umm… you know… in it… It was seriously the worst experience I ever had watching a movie with my dad. After the first embarrassing scene, I was thinking to myself, ‘Oh please, no more stuff like that.' Not only was there more, but it got worse as it went on. It was so embarrassing. lol In hindsight it was pretty funny but it was horrible at the time. It's not a movie to watch with your parents.”
5. Face/Off (1997)
Some people think Face/Off is one of the worst movies ever made, even though it made $245.7 million on an $80 million budget and was nominated for several awards.
One person shared, “This has got to be the biggest blockbuster terrible movie ever. I even saw this in the theaters myself because of the hype. But it’s SO terrible 😂.”
6. Idiocracy (2006)
Idiocracy is a 2006 film with a good blend of comedy and science fiction. Surprisingly, a few people find it cringe-worthy and even label it as their “worst.”
One person stated, “Very stupid at the time, now it’s a documentary.”
Another person replied, “What was once funny, is now depressing.”
7. Killer Clowns from Outer Space (1998)
Killer Clowns from Outer Space is a 1998 film that combines horror and comedy and stretches out on the far side of a man’s imagination. If you haven’t thought of the possibility that aliens look like murderous clowns, this movie will get you going.
One Reddit user said jokingly, “That's probably what I'd vote for too. You know it's bad just by the title/cover photo but it's pretty funny to watch.”
8. Tiny Robots (2008)
“Tiny robots by videobrinquedo. A company famous for making awful badly animated ripoff movies. Their entire catalogue is filled with hot trash, but Tiny robots takes the cake. There are so many plot holes, it’s more like a hole with tiny bits of plot in it,” one person shared.
9. Birdemic (2010)
Birdemic is a 2010 movie on a $10,000 budget inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's “The Birds.”
One Reddit user shared, “Its a special kind of bad. You will laugh your a** off.”
10. Snakes on a Plane (2006)
One Reddit user stated, “It was exactly what I paid to see. It was everything I ever wanted from a movie called Snakes on a Plane.” Another person replied, “So true, this is the pinnacle of bad movies.”
11. Avatar 2 (2022)
Despite being a massive success in the original James Cameron’s Avatar, Avatar 2 doesn’t seem to live up to its predecessor, according to a few people.
One Reddit user shared, “Not sure worst ever, but as far as big-budget, Avatar 2 was pretty damn [disappointing]. They revive the pretty generic bad guy and the only interesting character from the first, hitting a reset button there. Then the main plot line is hitting a reset button again and rehashing the outsider story. On top of that, it’s 3H20M.”
Another person replied, “The plot was just an excuse to showcase the visual. It's like they didn't even try to come up with an original idea.”
A third commenter added, “Seriously one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Story sucked. Characters sucked. Dialogue was terrible….bro.”
