What movie haven’t you seen that everyone else has? I’ll go first. I’ve never seen a single Harry Potter film. Even better, I own the books and haven’t ever opened them. Nonetheless, after asking the internet what big movies they’ve never seen, these are the top-voted films. 

1. Avatar (2009)

It’s been 13 years, and many people avoided seeing Avatar in this thread. Most said that they never had the urge, and the ones who did watch it recently admitted the cinematics were great. Still, they didn’t understand why the movie made so much money.

2. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982)

Many people were guilty of not watching this classic four decades after its release. While many suggested it was dumb, another argued, “Don’t listen to the people saying it’s dumb. 

The scene where they go trick or treating with E.T., and they walk by a kid wearing a Yoda costume, and E.T. says, ‘Home!’ and then starts following him is cinematic perfection.” Others suggested that the plot is nothing special, but if you have a couple of hours to waste and enjoy a bit of nostalgia and the hopefulness of childhood, watch E.T.

3. The Godfather (1972)

A surprising number of people confessed to never watching Francis Ford Coppola’s masterpiece, The Godfather. It is often on top-ten film lists, and one noted, “it is used in film schools as an example of perfection.” Still, several expressed zero interest in watching the film.

4. Dirty Dancing (1987)

Dirty Dancing is an 80s cult classic that several Redditors confessed to never seeing or having a desire to watch the film. One explained, “Especially now that we know the story is about a minor falling in love with her adult dance instructor. No, thank you. I’m good.”

5. The Star Wars Skywalker Saga (9 Films)

Who doesn’t know about Star Wars? According to Reddit, thousands of people. One person admitted, “The Star Wars fan base is so over-the-top it makes me have zero interest in becoming involved.” Others noted how the fans couldn’t even decide how they felt about them before one fan stood up for the original trilogy. 

6. Titanic (1997)

Many people confessed to putting it off, believing it was a cheesy romance. Still, one alleged, “Titanic does live up to its hype and will make even grown men cry.” Several agreed that the ending ripped them apart emotionally. 7. Marvel Movies

Thousands of people confessed to never watching or having a desire to watch anything from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). One explained, “I’ve never been into superheroes,” and many others agreed with that sentiment. Finally, one suggested, “If you decide to watch one, start with Captain America: The First Avenger (2011).

8. The Fast and Furious Movies

While some admitted to never watching any of the films, others praised the first two films. One elaborated, “The first two films in this series were good, but after they went from underground car culture to drivers saving the world, they lost their unique selling proposition.”

9. The Sound of Music (1965)

10. Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)

Finally, people confessed to never watching Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, causing quite a stir. One user volunteered, “If you’re reluctant to watch it because it’s animated, let me tell you – it will be an incredible two hours of your life. It is a refreshing style of animation combined with a fantastic story. And shout out to Post Malone for ‘Sunflower.’ It’s an incredibly catchy song.”
