One Redditor shared, “I’ll never forget seeing Breaking Dawn Part 2 opening weekend! The theatre was PACKED and the simultaneous gasp we all had when Carlisle lost his head and then we all found out it was just a vision… ugh take me back to 2012.”

A second person replied, “This is the answer. Those movies were so bad, but that scene alone was a MOMENT.”

Another commenter added, “This was one of my favorite memories in general, the energy in the theater was CRAZY. I’m so so glad I got to experience that.”

2. Avengers: Endgame

“Avengers: Endgame. It was so fun, when everyone was clapping, screaming, and being emotional. Loved experiencing it with others,” one person shared.

Another user said, “Avengers: Endgame. The way the entire cinema just went completely silent in a way it wasn’t before (if that makes sense) once Iron Man died was crazy.”

“Re-watching the reaction videos still makes me cry, like I wasn’t crying every five minutes in the theater. Sad tears, joyful tears, wanna-use-the-bathroom-but-don’t-wanna-miss-a-moment tears, I was feeling it all. Easily one of my favorite experiences!” another added.

3. Cats

One person stated, “I saw Cats in theaters stoned out of my mind, and everyone in the theater was losing their sh*t the entire time. I don’t know if I’ll ever enjoy a theater experience that much again.”

Another person said, “This is mine too (but drunk)! Alamo Draft House had rowdy screenings where you were encouraged to be loud, and it was magical. The sound we made when Skimbleshanks the railway cat arrived onscreen will live in my heart forever.”

One commenter added, “Same experience here! A friend and I had edibles before, and the entire crowd was sharing a collective ‘wtf!?’ experience. I’ll never forget the shrieking when Judi Dench looked directly into the camera at the end for her little monologue.”

4. Spice World: The Movie

“My mom pulled my sister and I out of school to see a 1:00 showing of Spice World: The Movie, and we each got our own popcorn, candy, and soda. I was 11, and it was amazing,” one person shared.

One Redditor commented, “I love this so much,” someone replied.

Your mom is an icon,” a third added.

5. Deadpool

One user shared, “In 2016, I was an incredibly introverted and shy person who had never gone to the movies before with a friend. Deadpool was coming out in cinemas, and I didn’t want to go to it with my parents because, well, it’s Deadpool. I decided to go with my friend, and it was not only my greatest theater experience, but simply one of the most incredible experiences in my life, and it really helped me build confidence going forward!”

“I love this story,” Another commenter replied.

6. Lord Of The Rings (Trilogy)

One user said, “Lord of the rings trilogy. It was a visual masterpiece, especially at the time. I’m so glad I got to see it on the big screen.”

Another Redditor replied with a similar experience, “Same. I saw all three films with my sister, and it is such a fond memory.”

7. A Quiet Place

“A Quiet Place! Was the best movie theatre experience the suspense was so high. Haven’t honestly enjoyed/found it worth going for any movies since,” someone said.

Another user commented, “The way everyone stopped eating their snacks so as not to make any noise. Someone coughed, and the collective thought in the room was ‘[omg] you’re going to get us killed.’”

8. IT (2017)

One Reddit user expressed, “I will always remember seeing IT (2017) with my mom after a dinner where [we’d had some wine]. The scenes that were supposed to be scary just looked funny to us, and while everyone was gasping or whatever, we just laughed. especially the scene where Pennywise does that dance. I never had a lot of quality time with my mom before that, so it was just a really fun day, and it’s a nice memory to have of us having that much fun together. I will always love that movie for that.”

Another commenter replied, “That’s so lovely.”

9. The Others

“Saw The Others in the theater. When there’s a big dramatic reveal at the end and the characters have these creepy looking cataracts, the person behind me screamed ‘Ooh, her eyes is ashy!’ and it has brought so much joy to my life, lol,” one user shared.

“That made me laugh out loud,” a second person replied.

10. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

Somebody shared, “In high school, we would go to the movies just to go, not because we wanted to see anything in particular. We wound up picking Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and it was so good on the big screen. Probably the first time I walked out of a movie theatre thinking ‘wow!’”

Another one replied, “I miss that time. When you’d just see what was playing that afternoon and go see that.”
